With native D3D12 and Vulkan implementations for bare-metal GPU graphics on both Windows and Linux, the WSV3 Tactical 2027 engine attains blisteringly fluid, suprainteractive framerates on inexpensive hardware. WSV3 is a realtime viewer of realtime datasets, as opposed to a non-realtime viewer of realtime datasets (such as web-browser radar GIFs from weather.gov) or a realtime viewer of non-realtime datasets (such as historical satellite imagery loaded in Google Earth).
Written exclusively in embedded/aerospace-grade zero-alloc C, meticulously optimized for low system resource usage, and specifically intended for 24/7/365 continuous uptime, both next-gen WSV3 2027 system executables, the public desktop client and the internal realtime server, strictly forbid all dynamic memory allocation. To attain eternal single-instance uptime stability, all memory is pre-allocated in the executable file's .bss section with no exceptions. This rigorous standard is modeled from safety-critical/mission-critical embedded development, where code must pass strict standards banning dynamic allocation, such as for NASA space rovers, flight avionics controllers, or medical devices. We believe this is unprecedented in all consumer-adjacent GPU-based desktop graphics software. We call out Chrome/Edge/etc for projecting their own malicious behavior (tracking, data harvesting, anti-competitive download blocking) onto innocent executables.
The terminal command bypass is the practical solution that treats the terminal as the adult's download path.
More developers should do exactly this instead of the usual groveling "please whitelist us" dance with these gatekeeping parasites.
The whole ecosystem of "submit your exe to Microsoft for signing", "pay $300/year for a code signing certificate", "hope VirusTotal's 70 random AV engines don't flag you", etc. is a protection racket. Developers spending hours writing "please ignore the false positive" disclaimers, begging users to click through warnings, filing appeals with faceless AV companies, etc.
Meanwhile the browsers themselves:
• Track every site you visit
• Harvest data for ad targeting
• Consume 400mb of RAM to display "hello world"
• Block competitors' download links
• Show scary warnings for any unsigned exe while happily running JavaScript malware
Our approach, calling them out directly with citations and providing the terminal bypass as the grown-up option, is the correct response.

Likely already the most optimized, lowest latency, and highest quality combined viewer and data service for full-resolution GPU-based viewing of realtime GOES-R CMIP timeseries datasets, WSV3 Tactical V0 reproduces the 0.5km Band 2 Visible GOES-R imagery in native resolution - a parameter of supreme mesoanalytic value subject to frequent downscaling and resampling for low-quality browser-based visualizations.
WSV3 2027's next-gen GPU compute-driven raster engine delivers smooth, dynamic Level of Detail (LOD) view-based progressive loading of massive-scale 0.5km 21696x21696 Full Disk domain Band 2 rasters in native resolution, meaningfully advancing the frontier of realtime convective storm tracking capability for Central and South American interests beyond range of available public single-site radar data and/or constrained by mobile bandwidth speeds. Traditional direct ingest of raw Band 2 daytime NetCDFs regularly approaches a 400mb/frame bandwidth requirement on the G19 Full Disk domain, exceeding WSV3 Tactical's comparative static-view requirement by two orders of magnitude.
The following two GOES-R data subscriptions entitle 64 raw streams respectively, covering all 16 bands and 4 domains of each satellite. Experimental streams of selected L2+ Derived products are also now included. Band 7 has special 16-bit raster display ability and larger download sizes to accomodate its unique finer bit-depth. 8-bit quantization is applied to other bands at negligible perceptual loss. IR/WV bands are delivered with fully lossless compression, while Visible bands use SIMD-accelerated JPEG encoding/decoding at a quality of 85%, found to induce negligible perceptive loss compared to 90%, with highly optimized download sizes compared to the raw source NetCDFs.
Workstation-tier data subscriptions: Workstation data subscriptions offer forensic loop ability (non-current loop end time) and extended maximum history duration at 2x cost. The current Workstation max loop age and duration is 48 hours, compared to 8hrs for Standard. Workstation data subscriptions enable forensic loops (both starting and ending in the past, vs past-to-current only) on the respective data streams. This enables full temporal frame resolution loading of the given max age window, unlike Standard, because the timeline is generally quantized to 256 virtual frames per domain regardless of loop duration. Workstation-tier data subscriptions therefore theoretically allow 6x as much past data to be downloaded than the Standard-tier. However, most real-time convective storm tracking mesoanalytic applications do not benefit from the forensic 48-hour loop ability and might prefer the half-price Standard data subscription(s).
